The
Players Turf System was created and developed to
simulate a real golf course green in every way.
The quality of materials along with the proper
installation techniques is very important from the
foundation up.
We begin by removing existing sod, excavating and
compacting the sub base. In sand subsoils we also
apply a special Geo-textile fabric to prevent
future erosion concerns by stabilizing the sub
base along with preventing any future growth.
We then construct a two layer, compacted crush
stone flex base, compacting it very thoroughly. At
this time we contour the surface with the
undulations requested. Then we install the
stainless steel support collar where the hole
locations will be best suited for your green. The
support collar will hold a regulation cup for any
flag.
Next we install our unique and unequalled Players
Turf specialized turf using specific seaming tape
and adhesive. We then add up to eight pounds per
square foot of our custom designed Tour Fill™
infill and top dressing. We then broom in the
unique granules standing the turf upright and
separating the fibers individually. We then roll
the green to bring the quickness up to the speed
desired. |
