How does a Players Turf green receive a shot when
chipping?
Our greens will receive a shot from 200 yards out
like any green on any course. You can even back up
a ball on the green when hitting shots to it.
Will any weather conditions affect the Players
Turf green surface?
With the specialized fibers used in a Players Turf
green being UV treated, the turf is designed to
resist the harmful effects of snow, rain, sleet,
ice, wind, heat and sun. Deer, elk and other
animals do not even harm the surface.
At what speed can Players Turf green roll?
The advantage of our greens is that you can have
the speed set at your preference. They can roll as
slow as a six on a stemp meter all the way up to a
fifteen. The best feature of our green is that the
ball will consistently roll true at any speed.
Another great feature is that you can change the
speed at any time you would like – even daily if
you want. To speed the green up you roll it with a
lawn roller and to slow it down you broom it with
a push broom to lower the speed.
What is the maintenance of a Players Turf green?
Basically the only requirement (other than
changing the speed of the green) is to keep the
leaves and debris off of the green with a leaf
blower.
How long can I expect my Players Turf green to
last?
With proper care, your green should last twenty
years or more. The manufacturer of the turf
carries a five-year warranty. Players Turf Systems
offers a lifetime warranty for both labor and
materials for individuals having Players Turf
Systems install their green with an annual
maintenance package.
